L'oeuf D'oie

“The Goose Egg” is concept piece for an environmental sculpture designed to both bring joy with its whimsy, and impress with its size. Standing at 6 feet tall, the egg is constructed from 1” thick sheets of ACRE™ by Modern Mill a sustainable new material that combines the durability of PVC and traditional composites with the warmth of wood. Engineered from upcycled rice hulls, ACRE is strong, stiff, lightweight and virtually impervious to water, weather, pests and rot.

The egg center has a cutout spherical “yolk” lit at nighttime with a color-changeable LED light. The evenly spaced layers of substrait allow the light to dance through as the viewer walks around the sculpture.
