FOREST OF FLAVORS

SOLID HARDWOODS & VENEERS: It’s hard to beat the timeless beauty of our solid natural hardwoods. Once built, our woods are never varnished using chemical sealers. We only use a 100% all natural tung oil inside & out which penetrates the wood, and cures tough to last a lifetime.

The species shown below are some of our favorite responsibly harvested hardwoods. Have a special hardwood you’d like us to match? Chances are we may be able get it, and utilize illustration software to visualize your final speaker before taking one step in the wood shop. PHONE or EMAIL to inquire about current availability & pricing of special hardwoods.

LAYERS UPON LAYERS

BALTIC BIRCH PLYWOOD: For a very cool stylized look beyond our beautiful hardwoods, we use a series of layered 1” thick furnishings-grade Baltic Birch Plywood. Several of our collections in closing the Romano can made using the technique of sandwiching 130 or more layers to build the main enclosure offering incredible stability in a non-resonating cabinet. Sanded to a smooth finish then the 100% natural tung oil is hand-rubbed into all that end-grain, or color stained to a variety of wood tones.

HEAPS OF HUES

VALCHROMAT® ENGINEERED WOOD: The look of this distinctly modern material is both luxurious and lively. Valchromat combines the natural features of wood with an exciting palette of colors. The wood fiber substrate is completely colored throughout its core, where fibers are colored individually, impregnated with organic dyes and bonded together by a special resin for a “no-chip” finish unlike typical painted cabinets. We particularly love Valchromat for its high density durability & acoustically neutral properties. Featured in the Streamline Chroma, and can be utilized in any of our speaker collections.

DELICIOUS DRIVERS

FULL RANGE DRIVERS: Designed in the UK, our best-in-class compact full range drivers produce the full spectrum of sound in a variety of luxurious colors. These driver cones are made from a super strong aerospace-grade alloy that reproduce crystal clear highs, snappy mid-tones, and full bass notes that round out the listening experience.

  • Antique Bronze, Soft Chrome & New Copper are available in models containing 4” or 6” full range drivers.

  • New Copper is available in models containing 3” full range drivers.

  • LIMITED EDITION Crystalline Oxide is also upgradable in models containing 4” or 6” full range drivers. More than just a color choice, these ghostly white matte drivers are painstakingly made using a proprietary Magnetic Arc Oxidization Process which converts the base alloy cone material to a crystalline oxide using extremely high temperatures in a flux bath. The final substrate is not merely a coating, but integrated into the structure of the original material resulting in a cone that provides incredible audiophile-grade accuracy, perfect voicing, and a silky-smooth tonality that you can enjoy for marathon listening sessions. Please inquire about current availability of these limited edition drivers. 4” PAIR = $500 Upgrade. 6” PAIR = $800 Upgrade.

DE LUXE DRIVERS

COMPONENT WOOFERS & TWEETERS: Several of our speaker collections are available in “De Luxe” versions. These exotic Belgian designed ceramic-coated aluminum drivers are created with a similar philosophy as the crystalline oxide full range drivers shown above. By combining the pinpoint accuracy of a metal cone with the organic surface of a ceramic coating (similar to the advantages of classic paper cones), you truly get the best of both worlds. And most importantly, our “De Luxe” drivers split the high & low frequencies between a tweeter which sings out all the lifelike details, and the woofer which bumps out the lower musical tones with heart-pumping excitement & dynamism.

MOD METALS

BRUSHED METALS: Some of our classic designs, such as the Mid-Century or MOD collections, feature the Heinsenfolg “atomic skull & knucklebones” H logo. Whether you choose Brushed Brass, Blackened Steel or Brushed Aluminum, these classic icons are first inset into the natural hardwood, and always contrast beautifully. To complement the woods, these metals are left bare to naturally patina over time. These metals are also featured in the grills of the Flatiron collection.

CORNUCOPIA OF COLORS

PREMIUM PAINT FINISHING: As a custom alternative to our all natural hardwood cabinets, we have the capability to build our speakers in MDF, and then paint to match any Sherwin-Williams color of your choice. Shown below is our Heinsenfolg classic color palette to use as a starting point. Paint Finish = $900 upgrade.
