Concrete BlokHaüs

We’ve seen a handful of concrete speakers over the years, and are wooed by their sleek modern industrial look… and sonically these cabinets will deliver incredibly accurate sound with little to no acoustic coloration from the enclosure. This is particularly important as the Concrete BlokHaüs will have a 6.5” rear-firing mini-subwoofer out the back, and the cabinet will provide a “rock-solid” environment for smooth prodigious bass.

For this design, we strive for a strong cool industrial look AND something more…. a juxtaposition of warmth. Many concrete speakers lack it, but we think, “Why can’t we have both? We start with a hand-poured hollow concrete block, then sandwich a pair of our signature hand-oiled black walnut hardwood faceplates with their beautifully beveled quarter round speaker driver holes. Then we soften the top & bottom edges of the front & rear with matching rounded bevels. The result is a visual statement that is distinctly modern, yet somehow feels right at home in any cozy space where softness & comfort are part of the design language.
