Longmont Epicurean Delights
While the “scene” in Old Town is a bit more mellow than those other rowdy college towns, there are plenty of places for amazing food & beverages. Here are some of our local favorites (all within several blocks of your back or front door).
Longs Peak Pub & Taphouse
You may know it as the venerable Mountain Sun Pub from Boulder. For over 30 years “The Sun” has been the most welcoming, friendliest pub in Colorado for friends, families & kids. Amazing craft beer, burgers, nachos, this location even has delicious wood-fired pizzas.
West Side Tavern
For a more cool & sophisticated night out including proper cocktails & an elevated food experience, West Side is top notch. After a few visits sitting at the social inside bar, this will be the place where everybody knows your name.
Teocalli Cochina
Longmont is the newest location of this incredibly successful series of upscale Mexican eateries. Only about a block & a half away through 417 Emery’s back door alley access, which is a good thing because their yummy handcrafted tequila cocktails pack a punch! And yes, the food is just as sumptuous.
Juniper Goods & Coffee
The newest coffee shop in Old town is only 2 blocks away, and luckily it’s also one of the best in Longmont. The large open space is filled with warm sunlight, hot coffee delights, an array of cool clothing & gifts, and ice cold gelato.
Babettes Bakery
Did you know that quite possibly the best bakery in the entire state of Colorado is located just 2 miles south of 417 Emery St. in the Prospect New Town development? Yup, it’s true! Beautiful crusty artisanal sourdough breads, exquisite French & Italian pastries & cakes, and even scrumptious Sicilian-style pizza by the slice— Babettes is the real deal.
And speaking of Pizza… not sure why (and nobody’s complaining), but suddenly Old Town is teeming with delicious pizza shops of all styles! Longs Peak Pub’s wood-fired pizzas are just the tip of the iceberg… Rosalee’s is the Longmont O.G. east coast pizza parlor— fun, lively, social, eat the pie for dine-in, and you won’t be disappointed that you waited. Try the Caesar salad & garlic sausage knots— momma Mia! Antonio’s is the new east coaster in town. I’ve had some tasty, fast & delicious slices here. Urban Field is Detroit-style and kind of awesome! Thick & heavy slices— if you can eat more than 2, we’ll be impressed! Plus, also good salads, sandwiches & cocktails too.
Other Favorite Spots… Pelo’s Deli (Hot Chicago-style sandwiches & cold proper cocktails), Sweet Cow (the best ice cream in town), Georgia Boys (the best BBQ in town), Lucile’s Creole Cafe (yup, the legendary Boulder breakfast & brunch eatery is only one block away), Hidden Cafe (should absolutely be called “Hidden Gem Cafe with its outrageous “hole-in-the-wall-style" breakfast), Dry Land Distillers (beautiful cocktail lounge featuring locally award-winning spirits and only 2 blocks away), Landline Donuts (handmade European-style potato donuts—yummy!) and simply too many more places to mention!
But wait, there’s one more exciting thing to mention… the boutique Hotel Longmont is coming in summer 2026! The new hotel property is about 2-3 blocks away from 417 Emery, and will feature a 6th floor rooftop restaurant & cocktail bar with breathtaking panoramic skyline views of the Rocky mountains.
